This is a bizarre creature - in a good way. I like the suggestive posture, the color choices, and the contours around the neck, chest and legs. The texture and color variation gives me the feeling that the sculpture is much older than it really is and adds to the sculpture's ability to capture and hold my attention. The placement of the left leg slightly in front of the right gives me a feeling of forward movement that adds a little extra life to the whole thing. The arched neck gives me the sense that she is leaning in towards something or someone nearby. These also contribute to it's ability to captivate. I feel like the application of the hair, although well done on the head, leaves something to be desired on the tail as it looks a little like it was glued on in clumps. The scale of the hair also doesn't seem to work with the scale of the rest of the figure. It looks stiff and artificial like that of an old doll or (sorry) one of those toy troll figures. I don't know whether it would be worth the extra effort, but I wonder whether a finer hair or hair-like material could be ventilated into a fine netting, as if making a small wig, and then embedded or attached to the figure to give the hair line, particularly that of the tail, a more natural appearance. Overall, this is an intriguing sculpture and is very well done. Congratulations.
